I have always had a fondness for history, both world history and my own family history. It was the latter that got me interested in going to Virginia a few years ago. I went to see Jamestown, but it was Colonial Williamsburg that most captured the attention of my camera. This gallery houses the photos that resulted from that trip.

Williamsburg today is home to a living history museum known as Colonial Williamsburg. Some of the homes and structures pictured in this album date back to Colonial America while others are faithful recreations. Whether original or not, I found Colonial Williamsburg to be a veritable font of scenes from Americana. The beautiful architecture was a joy to photograph and I look forward to returning one day.
