This piece of photo art features our beautiful old courthouse here in Macon County, Georgia. Georgia certainly has its share of grand old courthouses and some day I'd love to create a collection of pictures of them. But this one, being home is too easy to pass up now rather than one day.

The Macon County Courthouse was built in 1894. During my childhood, I knew it as a large off-white building. I'm not sure if it was painted off-white or if time had taken its toll on the paint job, but in more recent years, the courthouse and it's impressive clock tower have been restored to a much more faithful version of its original self.

I hope this piece of art captures both the beautiful job they've done restoring it as well as its timeless grandeur.
