Parisian Cherub

The Pont Alexandre III is considered to be the most ornate bridge in Paris. It spans the river Seine connecting Champs-Élysées with Invalides. It's Art Nouveau styling can be traced to the period it was built between 1896 and 1900. It was this same Art movement at the time that so shaped the architectural fabric of Paris that we see today.

If there's a more ornamented bridge in Paris, I certainly didn't stumble across it during my short stay there. It's hard to imagine there will be another like this any day soon. We just don't build bridges packed with artwork like this today! What I loved most about this playful cherub was that with the Eiffel Tower on the horizon there's no way one can question his Parisian pedigree!
