Although San Carlos was a small place it was strategically placed such that we passed through here multiple times. Aside from the incredibly nice people, what sticks in my mind the most were the docks pictured here. There were multiple docks, but this one specifically impressed me. I loved the bright green color of it and the very detailed wood work. Although weathered, it's clear that the builders were proud of their pier.
I took this photo on our second arrival into San Carlos. Having seen these docks once before, I was determined to get a good picture of them from the boat. And what a beautiful day we had for it. Love the soft blue of the skies, the small hint of clouds, and the gaggle of birds hanging out on the tin roof. And in the foreground we see all those beautiful colors reflecting int he rippled waters of Lake Nicaragua. I can almost feel the motion of the boat speeding by again looking at this colorful photo.
