Some would say New York City is the epitome of America. From my visits to various large cities in our country, I'd suggest NYC is more akin to a juice concentrate. It's the USA in extra strength form with a flavor all of its own. I've heard and believe there's no other city quite like it, and I'm sure when visitors abroad visit there, they get a flavor for the United States but a hyper real dose with a little twist of its own.

The pictures in this gallery are photos and photo-based artwork from my so far only visit to New York. In my travels I had met so many people who had been to NYC and here I am from the USA and I'd never been. It's only fitting then, I suppose, that I took the chance to meet up with friends visiting from abroad to finally see my country's symbolic city. I hope you enjoy these photos, mostly from Manhattan with just a dash of Brooklyn, and I hope that I have a chance some day to make more art from the fabric of New York City!
