Although not born in Macon County, it is where I was raised and in particular the towns of Montezuma and Oglethorpe will always be vivid in my memory as I went to all the public schools there growing up.
I have enough rural and small town America pictures taken in these small southern towns that it was only fair to devote a whole photo gallery to them. And I'm sure in time, since I've moved back to this area, that this print gallery will only grow.
I hope that the people who call or have called Macon County home will enjoy this gallery, but I also hope that those who love Americana and our vanishing but historic small towns will enjoy these pictures as well. It really is a side of America that is at an uncertain crossroads. I often feel when I'm capturing these images that it's as much about preserving a moment in time as it is about creating what I hope are beautiful pieces of visual art. I hope you all enjoy!
If there's a picture you have questions or comments about or if you would like a photo customized to suit your needs, please
let me know. I'm always interested in discussing my photos and I'm willing to re-work an image where possible, which could be anything from changing the size of the print to adding or removing color.
