If you haven't guessed from the quote above, the statue that looms over the Clock Tower at Westminster in this picture is Sir Winston Churchill. Truly if there were two British icons in one photo, I think this is it. We have the famous "British Bulldog" whose words and deeds will long be remembered and London's most famous clock - Big Ben. And I think it's very appropriate that Churchill, larger than life, appears so much bigger than the gothic tower in this photo.
