During my brief visit to the Naples region, a friend and I decided to get in one day visiting the beautiful Isle of Capri. I've often heard that the beautiful island pictured is overrun by tourists. Perhaps during the summer that's so, but visiting it in the dead of winter, there was only a handful of hearty travelers mixed in with a lot of locals. As you can tell from this photo, we had a really beautiful sunny day to briefly see the sights. We literally came over on the last ferry from Sorrento that day and had just a handful of hours before returning. Shortly after we got off that boat, I stopped to document this moment in a series of photos that I merged into a panorama and have overlaid with subtle textures to give this a very painterly feel which I think was appropriate for this fantastic scene from the Mediterranean.
