The prints in this collection are from my, so far, lone trip to Italy. That trip was an incredible opportunity and my introduction to mainland Europe. I went for the major landmarks, particularly ancient Roman sites like the Colosseum, the Pantheon and Pompeii, but I discovered there was much beauty in Italy both ancient and comparably modern. Churches, fountains, piazzas and the landscapes near Napoli like Capri were every bit as memorable to me.

I couldn't imagine how I could have squeezed any more into my two weeks in Italy but long to revisit and further photograph the great beauty of Italy. I think the pictures in this gallery bear out why I want to return so badly. So far, my Trevi fountain coins have not called me back, alas!
