Of the month I spent in Ireland, close to half of my time was spent in and around Galway on the Irish west coast. And though I grew to love Dublin, where I spent the balance of my time in Ireland, it was Galway that I left with a very heavy heart. The city of Galway itself was lovely and picturesque with both a city filled with history as well as a beautiful seaside and a taste of nature along the River Corrib. I was very impressed with Galway but also pleased that I was able to use Galway as a staging ground from which I experienced ancient history and incredible landscapes on the Aran Islands and around Connemara. There's no doubt that a lot of the Irish landscape we envision when we hear those words is very much alive on the west coast.
It could hardly be called easy to select what prints to exhibit in this gallery. I loved my time there and I hope it shows in these photos I'm offering as prints. You'll find pictures from the city streets of Galway, the beautiful waters of Galway Bay and the River Corrib,as well as ruins from Ireland's past and beautiful landscapes.
If perchance you've encountered a photo that I took in Ireland that you can't find here please
