So far my only visit to Costa Rica was a brief one. I had two weeks off from my job at the time and got a taste of Central America, visiting both Costa Rica and Nicaragua. The trip turned out to be far more of a taste of Nicaragua but what I saw of Costa Rica and the Pura Vida there definitely makes me want to return to get a deeper appreciation of the place I so briefly visited and photographed.

The photos in this gallery are mostly from the small town of Liberia, Costa Rica, and a visit to a nearby beach there, Playa Hermosa. The name of that beach translates basically to beautiful beach and it was incredibly apt, but much of Costa Rica from my stop in Liberia to La Fortuna showed Costa Rica and its inhabitants to be Pura Vida - or full of life!
