The photos in this gallery are a collection of images from my time living in Atlanta. I lived in and around Atlanta for a little over a decade. It was the first city I lived in after college so it will always hold a special place for me. It's ironic that while my love of photography developed while I was living there, I was relatively late turning my camera on Atlanta itself.
The bulk of these pictures, of places like the Fox Theater, The Vortex, The Big Chicken and more were photos that I considered to be part of a series. When I suddenly realized that I was traveling to countries near and far and taking photos of iconic sights in those places, it occurred to me that most cities have places that at least would be symbolic of the city to locals if not people from elsewhere. Thus the self-styled series was dubbed
Atlanta Icons. I don't consider it complete by a long-shot, but I hope you enjoy these photos that, to me, represent the fabric of the city itself.
As always if there's a picture you have questions or comments about or if you would like a photo customized to suit your needs, please
let me know. I'm willing to re-work an image where possible, which could be anything from changing the size of the print to adding or removing color.
