Pigeon Point lighthouse lies on the Northern California coast between Santa Cruz and San Francisco. Built in 1871, although now automated, the light is still an active aid to naval navigation today. This photo was shot from a beach south of the lighthouse in late afternoon. I really feel this picture captures some great rolling waves and a simple but natural color palette.
